PURPOSE:To prevent a recovery member from being charged abnormally, to form a constant-thickness developer layer on a developer holder, and to contrive to improve and stabilize picture quality by using a conductive member for the part of the recovery member which contacts the developer holder. CONSTITUTION:The recovery blade 38 consists of an insulating layer 41 and a conductive layer 42 superposed upon the insulating layer 41; and the insulating layer 41 uses, for example, 'Mylar(R)' of 75mum and the conductive layer 42 uses aluminum foil of 15mum. This insulating layer 41 is used to support the conductive layer 42 and the conductive layer 42 of the recovery blade 38 constituted as mentioned above is made to abut on a developing roller 35. When toner is recovered, the recovery blade 38 has its conductive layer 42 brought into contact with the developing roller 35, so toner is rubbed against the conductive layer 42. Consequently, the recovery blade 38 is never charged abnormally and the toner is charged electrostatically and constantly, so that the toner layer with constant layer thickness is formed on a developing roller 35. |
