PURPOSE:To make the titled device small in size and light in weight, and to shorten the access time by providing two magnetic field generating means by placing a recording medium between then, generating the magnetic fields of the same direction and focusing them to the medium, and also, executing the same movement by an interaction of the magnetic fields. CONSTITUTION:When an optical head 13 and a coil 15 move to a track position of the corresponding magnetic-optical disk 12 by a linear motor 14, a coil 16 moves together by an interaction of a magnetic field. Subsequently, magnetic fields of the same direction, which have been generated by the coils 15, 16 are impressed to the disk 12, a laser light of the head 13 is projected, and recording, reproduction and erasion and executed. Accordingly, the coil 16 and the head 13 can be separated and a connecting arm becomes unnecessary, therefore, the coil 16 can be moved at a high speed. Also, since the intensity of the magnetic field increases, the heating value can be suppressed. In this way, the device can be made small in size and light in weight, and the access time can be shortened. |
