The aim is to ensure the attack of an oxidising reactant on a sample 10, with stirring. According to the invention, for this attack, the sample 10 to be treated is placed in a drum 12 in which at least a part of at least one of the walls is perforated and which is mounted so as to rotate within a vessel 13 equipped, on the one hand, with means 14 such as to make it possible to introduce into it the oxidising reactant in question, and, on the other hand, with means 15 such as to enable it to be drained.
