NEW MATERIAL:A DNA containing an IMP dehydrogenase gene produced by substituting a promoter of an IMP dehydrogenase gene of a chromosome of a bacterial stain of genus Bacillus with other manifestable promoter. USE:Increase in yield of guanosine or inosine. PREPARATION:A DNA fragment having a structure produced by deleting a promoter region from a DNA containing an IMP dehydrogenase gene is prepared beforehand. The objective DNA can be produced by linking the upstream side of the open leading frame of the IMP dehydrogenase gene with other manifestable promoter (e.g. promoters originated from chromosome of a strain of genus Bacillus, originated from phage of a strain of genus Bacillus or originated from a plasmid which can be autonomously proliferated in the cell of genus Bacillus). |
