The push-button switch has a pivoted contact arm (8) displaced between a pair of stops (1,4), with a bias spring within the push-button housing (1) press ing it into contact with one or other stop (1,4) under control of a deformation element (15). A second mirror symmetrical contact arm (8) lies in the pivot plane of the first, similarly cooperating with a pair of stops (1,5) and acted on by a respective bias spring (9). The plane of symmetry (16) is perpendicular to the pivot planes of the two contact arms (8), with two mirror symmetrical stops (4,5) acting as the electrical contacts to allow the contact arms (8) to be electrically coupled. ADVANTAGE - Allows max. spacing of electrical contacts.
