<p>PURPOSE:To prevent an NC device from bumping upon a workpiece, by provid ing positioning members for determining three inherent dimensional positions for a plurality of different shape workpieces, respectively, and by detecting the contact position of each positioning member with the use of a touch sensor so as to judge whether the position is satisfactory or not. CONSTITUTION:A positioning pin 7 is provided individually for each of workpieces having different shapes, to be machined by a machining center 1, and the position where a touch sensor attached to a spindle 9 in an NC machine 8 is touched differs in dependence upon the shape of the workpiece 5. Further, by judging whether the position at which the touch sensor 10 makes contact with the positioning pin 7 is coincident with a predetermined position of the workpiece 5 or not, it is possible to judge whether an appropriate workpiece 5 to be machined is mounted on a table 2 or not. With this arrangement, it is possible to prevent the NC device 8 from bumping upon the workpiece 5.</p> |
