PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fine solid solution not requiring addition of a particle growth inhibitor in sintering, capable of being sintered at low temperature, having improved sintering characteristics and large surface activity, by subjecting a water-soluble lead salt, a water-soluble Zr salt and a water-soluble Zr salt to hydrothermal reaction in an alkali medium of an aqueous solution. CONSTITUTION:(A) A water-soluble lead salt [e.g. Pb(NO3)2], (B) a water-soluble Ti salt (e.g. TiCl4) and (C) a water-solublen Zr salt (e.g. ZrOCl2) in amounts to satisfy the molar ratio shown by the formula (0<x<1) as starting raw materials are dispersed into (D) an alkali medium of an aqueous solution containing 1-18N NaOH and/or KOH and subjected to hydrothermal reaction at 50-100 deg.C at normal pressure of at 100-300 deg.C under self-produced pressure while stirring or allowing to stand to give the titled solid solution having <=0.1 particle diameter and >=10m<2>/g BET specific surface area. |
