The invention relates to an electrical switch having a pushbutton, which is guided in a spring-loaded manner in the switch housing, and having a switching-contact support which can be operated by the pushbutton and whose switching contacts act on stationary contacts which are arranged in the base of the switch housing and merge integrally into connecting plugs which project out of the base. The subject matter of the invention is distinguished by the fact that the switching-contact support is constructed as a single-arm, spring-loaded pivoting lever (29) to which the switching contacts (32) are fitted, in the region of its free end, and against which an operating web (56) of the pushbutton (3) rests in the vicinity of its bearing, and that, in the end region, a locking device (55) is allocated to the pivoting lever (29), in order to determine its operating position. <IMAGE>
