Conveying apparatus for material to be transported, in particular for removing waste products from flame cutting tables, the material to be transported resting on a support surface which comprises a plurality of conveying beams (3) which are arranged adjacent to one another and parallel to the conveying direction and which are divided into at least two groups (a, b) whose conveying beams (3a, 3b) are situated alternately adjacent to one another and of which at least the conveying beams of one group synchronously carry out a cyclic motion which runs back and forth in the conveying direction and at the same time up and down. According to the invention, the conveying beams (3), which participate in a cyclic motion, are provided beneath their support surface with at least two recesses (7a, 7b) which are formed in such a manner that the conveying beam can be placed, with them, at least on the upper part of a circumferential track (9) of a driveshaft (5), which circumferential track runs eccentrically in relation to the axis of rotation of the drive shaft. At least two driveshafts (5) which run perpendicularly to the conveying direction are present, on which are placed the conveying beams with their recesses (7a, 7b) and by which the conveying beams are supported. The eccentric circumferential tracks (9), which belong to two groups (a, b) of conveying beams, which groups participate in a cyclic motion, are phase-displaced by 180@ relative to one another in terms of their rotational angular position.
