The invention relates to a drive for sectional doors, the geared motor of which is arranged on the inside of the door, preferably on the door top edge. The driving rope located under the garage ceiling exerts a pull component for opening/closing the door in the horizontal. However, the rope ends lead to driving pulleys on the door shaft mounted on the lintel, for the purpose of compensating the weight of the door. In this way, the motor generates on the door top edge, by means of its driving rope, an additional torsional force which has a favourable effect on the vertical door movement. The individual sections of the door roll through the curve of the running rail, without being jammed. The diameter of the rope pulley, driven by the motor, on the shaft located on the lintel can be varied. For an easy starting of the opening door, it is increased, in order to exert the highest possible torsional moment. The pivoting arm on the drive housing for the deflection of the closing rope serves for compensation in relation to force components directed towards the garage ceiling, in particular for the last phase of closing of the sectional door. The abrupt inclination of the arm is utilised to stop the motor by means of an inclination switch. |
