摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To decrease the number of parts, and to exactly and regularly keep a high speed running speed of a tape, by controlling a tape running speed in accordance with a variation quantity of a frame address which is read from each track, when a head crosses plural tracks which have been formed on the tape. CONSTITUTION:Latch pulses SP, SPf and SPl, and a frame address FAD outputted from a frame address detecting circuit 63 are supplied to latching circuits 65-68, an arithmetic circuit 69 and a counter 70. In this state, when heads 18, 19 cross plural tracks in a state that a tape is running at a high speed, a variation quantity DFA of a frame address FAD which is read from each head 18, 19 is calculated. The variation quantity DFA of this frame address FAD corresponds to a running speed of a tape 15. The calculated variation quantity DFA of the frame address FAD is supplied to a comparing circuit 71, compared with a reference quantity DFA0 supplied to an input terminal 72, and its difference component is supplied to reel motors 13, 14 through a gate circuit 73, an equalizer circuit 74 and am amplifier 75, and a running speed of the tape 15 is controlled so as to become constant.</p>
