PURPOSE:To obtain printing quality having high sensitivity and reduced in the fog of a background part by adding 2-anilino-3-methyl-6-dibutylaminofluorane and a compound represented by a specific formula to a thermal color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal color forming layer containing an electron donating leuco dye and an electron acceptive compound is provided on a support and 2-anilino-3-methyl-6-dibutylaminofluorane and a compound represented by formula I(wherein R is H, Cl or a lower alkyl group) are added to the thermal color forming layer. As this compound, 1-(4-methoxyphenoxy)-2-(3-methylphenoxy) ethane and 1-(4-methoxyphenoxy)-2-phenoxyethane are designated. As the electron donating leuco dye, there are a triphenylmethanephthalide compound, a fluorane compound and a fluorene compound and it is necessary that 2-anilino-3- methyl-6-dibutylaminofluorane occupies 50wt.% or more of the electron donating leuco dye. As the electron acceptive compound, a phenol derivative, a metal salt of aromatic carboxylic acid, acid clay, bentonite and a novolac resin are used. |
