<p>PURPOSE:To enable a driving cycle of a circuit means to be made longer than conventional one, by a method wherein a thermal head is constructed by arranging a left side heating element line and a right side heating element line by at intervals of odd pitches, and printing is carried out by simultaneously driving the left side and the right side heating element lines every time when a carriage 2 on which the thermal head is mounted is traveled by two pitches. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal head 10 in which a plurality of heating elements form parallel vertical two lines on a head substrate 11, a left side heating element line 12 and a right side heating element line 13 are arranged, for instance, at an interval of one pitch of an odd pitch. Every time a carriage on which this thermal head 10 is mounted is traveled by two pitches to transferred paper, the left side and the right side heating element lines 12, 13 are simultaneously driven. Thereby, the cycle for the control process of printing data by a circuit means can be made longer than that of the conventional driving method for the thermal head.</p> |
