PURPOSE:To reduce a difference in the whole length by which an ink film is paid out from a bobbin and prevent the ink film from being wrinkled, by pressing and separating a thermal head from a platen roller. CONSTITUTION:When printing in the first color is completed, an ink film 1 is fed to set the next color in position. In this case, when a cam 6 is positioned to such an angle that a lever pin 13 is brought to the second stepped part from the outer periphery of a cam groove 6a, a thermal head 4 is slightly separated from a platen roller 7, and the ink film 5 is only slightly separated from a printing paper 5, so that the displacement of the head 4 between a printing condition and this condition is reduced. Accordingly, the difference between the whole length by which the ink film 1 is paid out from a bobbin 2, 3 in the printing condition and that in the condition of feeding the ink film 1 is reduced, and the slackening of the ink film 1 is suppressed. |
