TROUBLE DIAGNOSING APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To enable the identification of optimum part number without manual inspection in the replacing of a troubled part, by inferring the cause of trouble according to an input symptom to search part information of a vehicle based on the results of inference. CONSTITUTION:A trouble diagnosing apparatus is mainly composed of an inferring section 10 connected to an intelligence data memory section 8 and a part information memory section 9 and a CRT12 and a keyboard 13 are connected thereto through an interface 11. The intelligence data memory section 8 stores trouble information for searching troubles and the part information memory section 9 stores part information for each vehicle corresponding to various troubled parts in a searchable pattern. When symptom of a trouble and information for specifying vehicles are inputted from the keyboard 13, the inferring section 10 searches part information of vehicles based on the results of inference and notifies of the part number of optimum parts on the CRT12 along with the results of diagnosis.
