NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R is 1-10C alkyl, adamantyl, group of formula II (a is 2-5), CbH2b+1-c(OH)c (b is 2-6; c is 1-5; provided that only one OH is bonded to one C atom)] and its salt. USE:An antibacterial agent against Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria. PREPARATION:Benzoxazinorifamycin is dissolved in an organic solvent such as methanol, ethanol, THF, DMF, etc., and made to react with a primary amine of formula RNH2 (e.g. t-butylamine) preferably at a temperature between -20 deg.C and the boiling point of the solvent optionally in the presence of an acid such as hydrochloric acid and an oxidizing agent such as manganese dioxide for 1hr-1 month. |
