<p>PURPOSE:To complete backup preparation by providing two torque sensors in a steering system, selecting one of the torque sensors, and controlling auxiliary steering force by a signal from the selected sensor. CONSTITUTION:Torque T1, T2 detected by two torque sensors 201, 202 are alternatively selected by switches SW1, SW2, and normally the torque T1 is selected and sent to a microcomputer 80. If there occurs any abnormality in detection of the torque T1 by the torque sensor 201, the other torque T2 is selected to be sent to the microcomputer 80. The signals T1 and T2 of the torque sensors are entered in a steering signal processing circuit 84, in which either one is selected and converted by a level converter 841i into basic assist current corresponding to the torque.</p> |
