PURPOSE:To form a photosensitive layer which has excellent photosensitive characteristics and is extremely thin in film thickness by forming an electric charge transfer layer of a hydrogenated amorphous carbon film contg. nitrogen and alkali metal atoms and an electric charge generating layer of a hydrogenated or fluorinated amorphous silicon film, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The charge transfer layer 2 of a function sepn. type photosensitive body having the charge transfer layer 2 and the charge generating layer 3 is formed of the hydrogenated amorphous carbon a-C film which is formed by glow discharge and contains the nitrogen atoms and alkali metal atoms and the charge generating layer 3 is formed of the hydrogenated or fluorinated amorphous silicon a-Si film which is formed by the glow discharge. The a-C film is formed to 5-50mu thickness and the content the nitrogen is specified to 5atom% of the entire constituting atoms and the content of the alkali metal to 0.1-10%. The a-Si film is formed to 0.1-5mu thickness. The charge transfer layer 2 is thereby improved in transferability, electric chargeability, durable weatherability and translucency, and is increased in the degree of freedom, and the charge generating layer 3 is provided with the excellent photoconductivity of visible light and wavelength light near laser light and is extremely reduced in the film thickness. |
