PURPOSE:To form a stereoscopic video signal by applying digital processing to one video signal of asynchronous left and right eye video signals and giving the result to a field switching circuit in the timing deviated corresponding to the pahse shift of the vertical synchronizing signal of both the video signals. CONSTITUTION:In giving both left/right video signals to a timing generation circuit 9, the deviation of the phase of the vertical synchronizing signals of both the video signals is detected and write/read control is applied so as to give the right eye video signal to a field switching circuit 10 in the timing retarded by the left eye video signal by a period (t) corresponding to the deviation. The field switching control circuit 10 switches the left eye video signal from a 1st input terminal 7 and the right eye video signal given via a low pass filter 18 alternately at each field based on the vertical synchronizing signal from the timing generating circuit 9 and outputs the result as a stereoscopic video signal from an output terminal 19. Furthermore, a switching signal of a shutter of a liquid crystal eyeglass 6 tuned to the field is outputted. |
