PURPOSE:To detect the abnormal overheating of gas insulation electric equipment by providing hydrogen incorporated metal at a place where overheating is estimated in the gas insulation electric equipment and discharging hydrogen gas from the hydrogen incorporated metal. CONSTITUTION:The hydrogen occuluding metal, e.g., Misch metal and nickel based, iron and titanium based, or magnesium and nickel based metal is supported on a conductor 4 at the place where local overheating is estimated. If the conductor 4 overheats locally at the place, the metal 6 is heated with the heat and occluded hydrogen is discharged into a container 2. The discharge of the hydrogen is detected to detect the local overheating of the conductor 4. |
