PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity exposure light after electrification by preparing a perylene derivative dye specified in structure, crystal form, and particle diameter range. CONSTITUTION:The perylene derivative dye to be used has a chemical structure represented by formula I, a crystal form of alpha-modification, and an average particle diameter of 0.05-0.1mum, preferably, most of particle diameters controlled in this range, thus permitting the perylene derivative dye to be well dispersed into a binder resin, superior in sensitivity, extremely superior in repeated use characteristics by the Carlson process, and deterioration of electrophotographic characteristics to be not found even after the uses repeated in a large number of times. |
