PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity, electrifiability, and durability by forming a protective layer made of an amorphous material containing B and N on a photosensitive layer containing Se. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer 2 containing at least Se is formed on a conductive substrate 1, and on this layer a protective layer 3 made of an amorphous material containing at least B and N, thus permitting the obtained Se-type electrophotographic sensitive body to have superior durability and weather resistance, and sufficient surface resistance stabilized immediately after preparation of the photosensitive body, and to form a sharp image free from white streaks, and to prevent Se and the like from attaching onto a copy, and in addition, the Se-type photosensitive layer not to be deteriorated by crystallization and the like eve if it is touched directly by hands. |
