PURPOSE:To accurately detect the remaining amount of the developer by providing the sensor which is so disposed as to detect the developer accumulating right under the doctor blade in the developing position. CONSTITUTION:The toners fed through a feed port 4 fall in the inside of a developing tray 3 and are sucked and swallowed on the outside circumference of a toner- carrying sleeve 1 by a magnet roller 2. The toners on the sleeve 1 are partly scraped down by a doctor blade 5 and are supplied to the developing surface after they are controlled to the specified amount corresponding to the gap of the sleeve 1 and blade 5. A sensor 7 which detects the toner well 6 is disposed right under the doctor blade 5 to detect the remaining amount of the toners. |
