PURPOSE:To prevent instability of a jet direction and nozzle clogging by attachment of ink dregs to nozzles and subsequent occurrence of corrosion by forming the nozzles with graphite. CONSTITUTION:Nozzles and an ink recovery part are formed out of graphite. This graphite should preferably be fluoridized on the surface. For instance, in the case of an ink on-demand type, a pressure wave is generated by conversion of an electric signal when it is applied to a piezoelectric element 1. This pressure wave ejects ink supplied to a liquid droplet forming part through the nozzles 3. At that time, since the nozzles are formed out of graphite, they are less susceptible of corrosion and do not allow ink leak easily. Consequently, no ink settlement in the nozzles or their corrosion occurs and also the same things happen to the ink recovery part. |
