PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure the amt. of a rubber bank with high accuracy, by providing both a means for photographing pictures of rolls and the rubber bank irradiated by a linear light of a lighting means, and a means for moving the lighting means in the direction of the roll axial line. CONSTITUTION:A driving apparatus 5 for moving a blacket 4 on a beam 3 and a lighting apparatus 6 and a video camera 7 photographing pictures of rubber 2 illuminated by the linear light are equipped on the blacket 4. The rubber 2 being banked between rollers 1A and 1B is thereby illuminated by a slit light and the picture can be photographed. A picture taken by the video camera 7 contains a curved picture I corresponding to the contour of the rubber 2 and curved picture of IRA and IRB of the rolls 1A and 1B, and when it is masked in a cutting circuit, only a curved picture of the rubber bank Ir can be cut out. After an area S1 at a certain cross-section perpendicular to the rolls of the rubber bank is obtained by means of a cross-section measuring circuit 13, a signal treating circuit 8 sends a signal to a circuit 9 for controlling the driving apparatus to actuate the driving apparatus 5 and to move the blacket 4 in a definite distance d1. The cross-sectional area of the rubber bank can be thereby obtained. A calculation is carried out by supplying the values of the cross-sectional area obtained to a wt. calculating circuit 14, and the wt. of the rubber 2 banked between rolls 1A and 1B is obtained. |
