<p>PURPOSE:To relieve the load of a central processing unit by revising and displaying only a changed data of a picture being displayed on a visual display device so as to decrease the required time from the occurrence of data change till the display update. CONSTITUTION:In the presence of the initial display request of a picture at first, after the fixed display such as a frame of the picture and pipes of a plant or the like is displayed on a visual display device, edit information by one pattern corresponding to a pattern desired to be displayed is read from a picture edit information file. Then the edit of a data of all display data points therein is executed depending on the read edit information and it is displayed as a variable data display. If the data displayed on the visual display device is changed and it is to be revised momentarily, an element N1 at the head of queue is extracted and the edit information for the display data point whose logic number is coincident with the element number N1 is retrieved from the contents of the picture edit information file to apply the edit processing of the changed data. In this case, when the queue is not idle, the next element N2 is extracted and the similar processing is applied.</p> |
