PURPOSE:To obtain a small-size, light-weight, high-speed and highly reliable printing mechanism by using as a printing hammer a plate spring capable of connecting with a piezo-electric element under the condition that Belleville spring is compressed and also of curving by the recovery force of the Belleville spring when the piezo-electric element is shrunk. CONSTITUTION:Voltage is applied to piezo-electric elements 1 and 1' by electrodes 3 and 3' and electrodes 4 and 4' to shrink them in the vertical direction, and plates 8 and 8' not connected with the piezo-electric elements are pushed toward the direction of a hammer bank frame 2 by the recovery force of Belleville springs 5 and 5'. The interval between the plates 8 and 8' is narrowed, a printing hammer 9 is bent, a hammer pin 10 is projected to the platen 14 side and collides on the platen 14 through an ink ribbon 12 and a printing paper 13, and one dot is printed on the printing paper 13. |
