The invention relates to a switching installation insulated by a gas. In this switching installation including switching units each including a housing (6a) accommodating a circuit breaker (1), upper and lower lateral housings (9a, 10a) housing isolators (DS3; DS1, DS2) and earthing devices (ES2, ES3, ES1), at least one housing (9a, 10a) present in an external unit is offset inwards with respect to the central axis of the associated housing, and common actuating units (20, 21, 22) for the isolators and the earthing devices are accommodated in a space between the housings (9a, 10a).
