PURPOSE:To obtain an antireflection article suitable for optics, by a method wherein a coat composed of a specific organic polymer and a coat composed of SiO2 are laminated on the surface of a transparent base material in this order. CONSTITUTION:A coating composition capable of forming an A film composed of an organic polymer which possesses a refractive index of 0.47-1.65 and a thickness of 100-2,000nm and contains 5-80wt.% inorganic oxide fine particles as a film constituent ingredient by heating the coating composition is applied to the surface of a transparent base material. A B film composed of SiO2 is provided further on the same under vacuous atmosphere and double layer structure where the A and B films have been laminated on the surface of the transparent base material in this order is obtained. Thermosetting resin is used for the organic polymer, which is a forming ingredient of the A film, and a kind or more of things selected out of antimony oxide, titania, zirconia and aluminum oxide are used for the inorganic oxide fine particles. Then the B film is formed by either a vacuum deposition method, sputtering method or ion plating method. |
