The device comprises a folding stanchion (10) placed between two adjacent folding side boards (14, 16). The stanchion (10) is provided with two contoured locking plates (30, 32) for locking the side boards (14, 16) in the upright position. The locking plates (30, 32) are connected to each other to be concurrently rotated between an intermediate position in which they lock both side boards (14, 16) and two positions which are angularly symmetrical with respect to the intermediate position so as to lock one of the side boards and leave the other side board free. |
