PURPOSE:To prevent a toner from sticking to a non-image part, and to prevent an uneven density from being generated in an image part, by constituting the titled device so that the intensity of an electric field between a development outlet part wire electrode and an electrostatic latent image becomes smaller than the intensity of an electric field between a developing part wire electrode and the electrostatic latent image. CONSTITUTION:A toner 6 contained in a developing container 7 becomes a cloud state by a wire-shaped cloud generating electrode 8 to which an AC voltage is applied by a voltage applying means 10, and moves to an electrostatic latent image carrying body 1 from an opening part of the developing container 7. As for the moved toner, its movement onto the electrostatic latent image carrying body 1 is accelerated by the action of a developing part wire electrode 2 and a development outlet part wire electrode 3 to which an AC voltage is applied by a voltage applying means 4 and 5, respectively, and a visible image is formed. In such a case, by allowing the intensity of an electric field between the development outlet part wire electrode 3 and an electrostatic latent image to become smaller than the intensity of an electric field between the developing part wire electrode 2 and the electrostatic latent image, the toner stuck to the background part is brought back, but the toner stuck to the image part is not brought back, and the generation of fogging can be prevented. |
