PURPOSE:To facilitate loading of cut sheets by projectingly forming on an openable cover, a guide member for guiding the leading edges of cut sheets to the contact side of a guide roll, when the openable cover is opened to load itself with cut sheets. CONSTITUTION:A guide member 28 is installed in a position on the inner surface of an openable cover 4 and closely behind a paper feed roll 5, namely in such a position where the leading edge of a sheet is guided to the contact side of the paper feed roll 5, namely to the side of medium plate 7. A simple structure like this is still capable of preventing the leading edge of a cut sheet 19 from colliding with the paper feed roll 5 when cut sheet loading is performed, and/or from being erroneously inserted through the opposite side of the paper feed roll 5. In addition, even if the cut sheet 19 includes such deformation as curvature, loading can be easily and securely carried out. Further, because of the second guide member 29 projectingly formed closely behind the separation click 16, cut sheet loading can be achieved more easily. |
