PURPOSE:To prevent the packed state of a catalyst from being made ununiform by vibration and tilting by forming a circular catalyst bed in a reactor placed in a heating space and dividing the into plural beds with partitions extending in the radial direction. CONSTITUTION:Gaseous fuel gasified in an evaporator 1 is converted into hydrogen-base reformed gas in a catalyst bed 9 in a reactor 8 and the reformed gas is accumulated in an upper accumulation chamber 11 and fed to the body of a fuel cell. Heated gas generated in a burner 2 heats the evaporator 1, enters a heating space 7 through a central path 20, heat the reactor 8 during passing through slitshaped heated gas paths 16 and reaches a heated gas path 14. The heated gas enters a heated gas bath 15 through top communicating holes 17 and is exhausted from a lower exhaust port 18. Since the circular catalyst bed 9 has been divided into plural beds with the walls of the slit-shaped heated gas paths 16 as partitions, the catalyst particles are restrained, so the packed state of the catalyst is prevented from being made ununiform by vibration and tilting during transportation. |
