PURPOSE:To simplify a device by engaging a guide rod with the sleeve for guiding which is served as a tape guide as well and supported at a stationary side, and guiding a head drum movably in an axial direction by the sleeve for guiding. CONSTITUTION:A guide rod 16 is engaged with the sleeve 18 for guiding, the sleeve 18 serves as a tape guide as well and is supported by a chassis 19. A magnetic tape 25 is hung over 180 deg. on the outer peripheral face of a head drum 10 and subjected to a constant speed running. The drum 10 is driven by being rotated with the motor inside a stationary drum 13, and a magnetic head 12 abuts in opposition to the magnetic tape 25 which is hung over on the outer peripheral face of the drum 10. A feeding screw 21 is driven by a motor 22 by synchronizing with the rotary movement of this drum 10 and a base 14 is moved in the axial direction accordingly. The head drum 10 supported via the stationary drum 13 by the base 14 is made to move in the axial direction and a parallel scanning is thus achieved. |
