PURPOSE:To reduce the load of the software which functions to produce an interruption signal by adding a function to a memory device to produce automatically the interruption signal as soon as a writing action is through with the data to be transferred. CONSTITUTION:When data are transferred to a microprocessor MPUb from a microprocessor MPUa, the MPUa transmits the head address of a memory area storing the data to be transferred to an address register AR and the number of words of the data to a word register respectively. Here the number of words are initially fetched by a word counter WC. The count value of the WC is reset to zero when a series of writing actions are through. Thus an interruption signal is automatically sent to the MPUb based on the count result of the WC. Then the MPUb reads the data on the number of words out of the head address stored in the AR.
