Applicator for hair-styling rollers. This apparatus uses commercially available rollers known as "curlers" and a novel roller model having a fabric band with automatic clipping 31, 32, 33. In a tunnel formed by the body of the apparatus 1, 4, 6 and its cover 2, 5, which are obtained by moulding plastic, a turbine 34 creates a suction effect on the hair, by means of air circulation. The roller to be used is located in this tunnel. The electric motor 12, controlled by pushbutton 11, drives the turbine 34 by means of two pulleys 15 and, on the opposite side, two small wheels 19 by means of two step-down pulleys 15 bis and 16 bis. When the apparatus is placed on the scalp and the hair is sucked in, the user exerts a pressure on the contactor 21 which supplies two electromagnets 24 and 24 bis; the rubber belt (mat) 30 is then set in motion in the direction of the arrows "f" and the roller 31, bearing against the wall of the cover, being subjected to a moment, rotates, advancing towards the hair which it rolls up. At the end of travel, the roller is gripped laterally by the clip 32. The expelled air escapes at "a"; only the hair in question is therefore sucked in. Orifices at "p" circulate the air. In order to use rollers of different diameters, care should be taken to fit the appropriate cover. A professional model is provided with a handle 35, the trigger 36 of which acts as the contactor 21. <IMAGE>
