摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance printing quality, by a method wherein a glazed glass positioned at the heat generating part of a heat generating resistor is formed so that a part thereof is built up by the thickness of an electrode layer and difference in level is eliminated from the connection part of the heat generating resistor and the electrode layer. CONSTITUTION:A heat resistance layer 12 composed of glazed glass, of which the cross-sectional shape is semi-cylindrical and the part 12a corresponding to the heat generating part 22 of the top is raised by about 2mum, is formed on an insulating substrate 11 and a heat generating resistor 13 composed of Ta2N is formed along the outer peripheral surface of the heat resistance layer 12. Further, electrode layers 14 are formed to the outer peripheral surfaces of the heat generating resistor 13 on both sides of the built-up part 13a at the top part of said resistor 13 excepting the built-up part 13a so as to become the same height as the outer peripheral surface of the built-up part 13a at the top part of the heat generating resistor 13. The heat generating part 22 of the heat generating resistor 13 after a protective layer is formed is positioned on the semi-cylindrical outer peripheral surface. Therefore, the close adhesiveness of the entire surface of the heat generating part to a platen through an ink ribbon and recording paper can be enhanced and the heat of the heat generating part becomes easy to transmit to the ink ribbon and sufficient recording density is obtained and good printing quality free from transfer inferiority is obtained.
