PURPOSE:To eliminate the scattering of quality of foam and consequently prevent the feeling of alien substance from generating in the foam and unpleasant feeling from being given to a user by a method wherein the thickness of a part the hardness at which is raised by the impregnation of slab foam and molding foam with each other at their boundary surface is set to be within the specified range. CONSTITUTION:Under the condition that a slab foam 1 is attached to the top surface of a seaing part, polyurethane foam raw material mixture is poured in the remaining part in a mold so as to obtain a seat consisting of polyurethane foams with different hardnesses through the foaming and hardening of a molding foam 2. At the foaming of the poured polyurethane foam raw material mixture, the mixture penetrates in the surface of the slab foam, resulting in rise in hardness of the part 3 penetrated by the mixture after hardening. When the depth of penetration is 1-3 mm, no trouble occurs in practical use. If said depth exceeds 3 mm, the feeling of alien substance is generated in a product consisting of polyurethane foams with different hardnesses. On the other hand, if said depth is below 1 mm, the bond strength at the boundary surface becomes lower. Consequently, when the above-mentioned product is used as the seat and seat back of an automobile, the retention of the shape of the body of a driver and of a fellow passenger can be improved. |
