PURPOSE:To observe a state of a sample without changing the state before observation by conditions for observation, by projecting single ultraviolet pulse laser light to the sample, accumulating the light which is reflected from the sample or transmits through the sample, and visualizing it. CONSTITUTION:The light passing through an objective lens is made incident to a vidicon 5 through a band pass filter 2 for passing through only a specified wavelength of a laser, a diaphragm 3 and an image intensifier 4, and forms an optical image of a sample in the vidicon. The vidicon 5 sends the optical image of the sample to a picture memory 7 through a TV controller 6, and accumulates the optical image in said memory. This accumulated image is displayed on a TV monitor 8 and observed. A synchronizing circuit 9 connected to the picture memory 7 and an eximer laser oscillator 1 delays a TV vertical synchronizing signal, makes the following TV vertical synchronizing signal coincide with generation of a laser light, and accumulates the optical image of the sample in the picture memory before a residual image of the photodetecting surface of the vidicon. As for the laser light, an eximer, N2 or coloring matter laser is used. Especially, the coloring matter laser changes an excitation wavelength to the sample since the wavelength can be made variable, and a reflected image and a fluorescent image can be obtained with good contrast. |
