The invention relates to white-emitting phosphors consisting of a long persistent green-emitting component of Zn2Si04:Mn, As; a blue-emitting component of ZnS:Ag; and an orange-emitting component selected from Y2O2S:Eu with a concentration of Eu2O2S in Y2O2S:Eu ranging from 0.15 to 2 % by weight, and 3Cd3(PO4)2.CdC l 2:Mn. The white-emitting phosphors are characterized by a high luminance and a long persistency.
