<p>To balance thermal transducers located on the substrate of an inking head, a calibration resistor is also fitted on this substrate. For the purposes of balancing, the inking head or substrate is connected to a standard power supply arrangement, which is identical to a power supply arrangement used in a printer. Next, the calibration resistor incorporated in the substrate is balanced as a function of the triggering voltage desired for the transducers. After connection of an inking head thus balanced to the power supply in a printer, the power supply of the latter detects the preset value of the calibration resistor and thereby automatically adjusts the triggering voltage for the thermal transducers.</p> |
