PURPOSE:To enable selective use of a slide according to work applications by providing cylinder parts to the top and bottom of a piston member of the slide. CONSTITUTION: The cylinders are respectively provided to the upper and lower parts of the piston member 4. The upper cylinder 7 is formed between the small-diameter part of a cylindrical part 2 and the piston member 4 and the lower cylinder 8 is formed between the piston member 4 and bottom part 3. Oil passages 10, 11 are provided to the cylinders 7, 8 and oil supply pipes 13, 14 connected to an oil tank 12 are connected to the passages 10, 11 thereof so that the oil can be alternately fed through a solenoid valve 15. Break-through at the time of blanking is relieved and the slide couples the bottom part 3 and the piston member 4 closely to make load transmission by metal when the pressure oil is supplied to the upper cylinder 7. On the other hand, an oil layer is formed between the bottom 3 and the member 4 and the slide is usable as a hydraulic type overload safety device when the pressure oil is supplied to the lower cylinder 8.
