The invention concerns a ball-bearing live ring for an inclined hoist, with a ball bearing being provided between a downturned flange of the top half of the live ring and an upturned flange of the bottom half of the live ring. The nature of the invention is to prevent the ball-bearing live ring coming apart if the ball-bearing live ring is overloaded by maximum tilt combined with maximum extension of the guide rails. One or more tilt guards are provided for this purpose, which are welded to the top half of the live ring or the rail support frame connected to it, and engage under the bottom half of the live ring or the base of the ball-bearing live ring connected there to, and have a specified clearance that is used up before the ball-bearing live ring comes apart in the case of overloading (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
