<p>An apparatus, based on a conventional lathe, for the screening of ink transfer rollers including a rotatable screen forming tool (45) rotatably held above the ink transfer roller (9) by a pivoted arm (26). The arm (26) pivots about an axis (25) parallel with the axis of rotation of roller (9) and to one side thereof with a damping device (54) extending from the arm on a side opposite the pivot (25) to a base (16). The base (16) traverses along the lathe bed (11) and rigidly supports a post to which the arm pivot (25) is attached for adjustable height. The arm (26) also includes a variable weight (29, 32, 34) for adjusting the force of the tool (45) upon the roller (9).</p> |
