IMAGE RECEIVER FOR THERMAL SENSITIVE TRANSFER RECORDING

PURPOSE:To enhance the sensitivity of a thermal transfer recording image receiver at the time of thermal transfer recording by providing a coating layer which contains adhesive resin to a hotmelt material, such as low molecular weight polystyrene, phenol resin on the surface layer on a base. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer 5 made of a resin A3 having adhesiveness for a hotmelt material and a resin 84 having nonadhesiveness for a hotmelt material on one side surface of a base 1 to form a thermal transfer recording image receiver. The material of the resin B4 includes butyral resin, acrylonitrile styrene copolymer resin. The ratio of the resin B in the layer 4 is preferably within 50 parts by weight with respect to the 100 parts by weight of the resin A. If the resin B is increased more than 50 parts by weight, adhesiveness of the layer 5 is remarkably lost to cause a low sensitivity to occur.
