<p>An oven-proof food container, preferably formed from a one-piece blank of oven-proof paperboard, has a vent (5), preferably an aperture, in at least one side wall (3), for the venting of steam produced during the heating of food contained in the container. A flap (41, 42) overlies the side wall (3) to obstruct the vent (5), to allow the said venting of steam but to leave only a narrow, indirect passageway which resists ingress of contaminating particles.</p> |
