PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of reliability caused by an electrostatic recharging stage in the midst of one cycle of forming a multicolor image and to effectively avoid color mixture with an already formed toner image. CONSTITUTION:A stage A for uniformly electrostatically charging the surface of a photoconductive latent image carrier 1, a stage B for forming a 1st electrostatic latent image Z1 by performing exposure at one or plural levels, a stage C for visualizing the 1st electrostatic latent image Z1 with 1st color toner T1, a stage D for forming a 2nd electrostatic latent image Z2 by performing exposure at one or plural exposing levels at least higher than the maximum exposing level of the 1st latent image forming stage B, and a stage E visualizing the 2nd electrostatic latent image Z2 with 2nd color toner T2 are provided; and in the case of forming the multicolor image of three or more colors, similiar stages such as a latent image forming stage F, a developing stage G,... are succeedingly repeated hereafter. |
