A ''spill-proof'' bowl (B) particularly suited for use by a child while eating dry, granular foodstuff (F) by hand. The bowl includes a removably attached cover (22) having a tubular portion (24) extending through it. The lower end (28) of the tubular portion has an opening just large enough to receive a child's hand. The upper end (30) of the tubular portion extends above the cover and includes an opening of the same size as the lower end. The upper end includes a removable closure (34). The bowl may also be sized for use by an adult. The bowl may also be sized for use by an adult. When tipped over, the food tends to remain in the container due to the action of the tubular portion and its terminally curved edge. |
