A device for mounting a hand shower attachment on the side of a bath contains a fitting box in which the shower hose can be accommodated. The shower hose is attached to a shower adaptor which is releasably fastened to a part firmly mounted in the fitting box. The water supply line, laid in a fixed position, for the shower is attached to the firmly mounted part. Complementary push-in elements between the removable shower adaptor and the firmly mounted part enable the water to pass from the water supply line via the firmly mounted part into the shower adaptor and from there to the shower hose (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
