<p>A rotary pump constructed so that the abrasion dust formed in a sliding portion does not contaminate a liquid to be deliver. In a pump consisting of a vane wheel, a casing having a suction port and a discharge port for a primary liquid to be delivered and housing the vane wheel therein, and a shaft casing communicating with this casing, a shielding flow of the primary liquid is formed between the casing and the sliding portion of the shaft casing so as to shield the sliding portion of the shaft casing against the casing, and the shielding flow advancing along the sliding portion and containing abrasion dust is discharged to the outside of the pump, thereby preventing the abrasion dust formed in the sliding portion from contaminating the primary liquid being delivered.</p> |
